  1. Declutter Toys: Sort through toys and games, keeping only those that are still age-appropriate and in good condition. Donate or discard toys that are no longer used or loved.

2. Organize Books: Arrange books on shelves or in bins by category or age level. Donate any books that your child has outgrown or is no longer interested in.

3. Tackle Clothing: Go through your child’s clothing drawers and closet, removing items that no longer fit or are worn out. Donate gently used clothing or pass them along to friends or family members.

4. Purge Art Supplies: Check art supplies for dried-out markers, broken crayons, or empty paint tubes. Restock essentials and organize supplies in a designated art area.

5. Clean Outdoor Toys: Wash outdoor toys such as sandboxes, playhouses, and bicycles with soap and water. Check for any broken or damaged items that need repair or replacement.

6. Refresh Bedding: Launder bedding, including sheets, pillowcases, and comforters. Consider rotating bedding for a fresh look and feel.

7. Dust and Vacuum: Dust shelves, bookcases, and other surfaces where dust tends to accumulate. Vacuum carpets and rugs, paying special attention to corners and under furniture.

8. Wipe Down Surfaces: Use a mild cleaning solution to wipe down tables, chairs, and other hard surfaces. Don’t forget light switches, door handles, and other frequently touched areas.

9. Check Safety Equipment: Inspect smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers to ensure they are in working order. Replace batteries as needed.

10. Create a Donation Box: Set aside a designated box or bin for items to donate or pass along to others. Encourage your child to participate in the giving process.

11. Celebrate the Accomplishment: Once your spring cleaning is complete, take a moment to celebrate your hard work as a family. Enjoy a special treat or activity together to reward yourselves for a job well done.
